Dr Tom Brown, a retired consultant psychiatrist, will give a talk at 2.30 pm on Tuesday 19th January entitled “Emotional Wellbeing in a Covid-19 World”.

Coffee Morning Cancelled

 

The Coffee Morning scheduled for Saturday 3rd October has been cancelled due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation.

 

A.G.M. POSTPONED

 

The A.G.M.due to have been held on Wednesday 3rd June has been postponed.  Further details will be announced here shortly.

 

 

Public Lecture CANCELLED

 

There was to have been be a Public Lecture by Prof Helen Sang, Roslin, “Genetic Modification of Farm Animals” on Monday 6th April but this has now been cancelled due to the Covid-19 corona virus.

Coffee Morning – CANCELLED

 

The Coffee Morning on Saturday 14th March is cancelled due to concerns about
the Covid-19 outbreak.

Please pass this message on to others who might not have received it.
The situation regarding future events will be reviewed as time goes on.

Summer Picnic August 2019

 
This year’s summer picnic will be at Cockenzie House and Gardens on Wednesday 21st August:
Timetable
11.0 Arrival and assembly in the coffee bar/cafe
11.30 Talk and tour of the premises
12.30 U3A Picnic in the conservatory, called the ‘Willow’Room’
1.30 Games on the lawn
As a charity Cockenzie House needs to generate income so each U3A Member will be asked to give a £2 cash donation.
There will be two races
1. Egg and spoon
2. Deportment, fast walking with a book on your head.
SO please bring; Your lunch-time picnic, a spoon, a hard-boiled egg, a book of your choice, waterproof clothing, money for morning coffee and cash charity donation
