Structure and Purpose

East Lothian u3a, charity number SC028953, is a charity under Scottish Law and is registered with the Scottish Charity Register (OSCR).  The object of the East Lothian u3a is:

To advance education and in particular the education of people not in full time gainful employment who are in their Third Age (being the period of time after the first age of childhood dependence and the second age of full time employment and/or parental responsibility) residing in East Lothian and its surrounding locality

The East Lothian u3a is a child or subsidiary charity of the Third Age Trust, a UK Government registered charity charity number 288007.
