We are a small group of enthusiastic people ranging from those of us who go on holiday to those who have lived in France although this was a while ago. As the leader, my own French is currently limited to ordering food and drink and booking camping pitches! An informal and friendly group and we meet at the home of a member. The aim is to encourage each other to become more fluent for holidays and leisure; by sharing news and chatting about current events, we often choose a topic to help us get started. The topics are suggested by members; each member talks briefly about the topic and then the others discuss with them and each other. No actual teaching takes place, but we do pick up vocabulary as we go along. Our native French speaker helps too. We do look up words if needed and if it helps to bring a few notes that is OK.
